Hometown Headlines 6/25/21

A 29-year-old Lockport landscaper who was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle on Grauer Road two weeks ago has died.

 

A State appellate court is ruling that the State owes eight city school districts including Niagara Falls a total of $1.1 billion dollars. 

 

The State Attorney General’s Office is suing the Niagara-Wheatfield Central School District.  The suit alleges that the district ignored complaints of bullying, harassment, and sexual assault both in person and on social media. 

 

Crews will be installing five bronze statues in front of the steps of the Lockport Locks today.  The monuments will be officially dedicated on July 3rd

 

Carl Paladino is pushing Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown to launch a write-in campaign following his apparent defeat in Tuesday’s mayoral primary. 

 

The Buffalo Marathon returns this weekend with some 3,000 runners expected to participate in hot and humid conditions.

 

And after 35 years, The House of Horrors and Haunted Catacombs in Cheektowaga is closing its doors.  Final scares are set for tonight and tomorrow.
