Authorities responded to an accident involving a scooter and a car on Niagara Falls Boulevard near 47th Street in Niagara Falls Friday. Fire crews were on scene cleaning up the area.Buffalo Police Department detective Richard Hy filed a federal discrimination lawsuit against the city claiming that his superiors passed over him for promotions and treated other officers more favorably. The suit, filed earlier this week in U.S. District court, makes claims that Hy was targeted for discipline due to his “Angry Cops” social media account, which features military-themed comedy and commentary. Hy was suspended related to the content and claims he was denied promotions many times despite high rankings on promotional exams.Michael Brown of Clarence, 55, has been accused of shooting and killing his wife early Thursday morning. He pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder charge he is facing during his arraignment Thursday evening.Bills quarterback Josh Allen and his wife, actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld have officially announced the name of the newest member of the Allen family.
