A Chautauqua County manufacturing plant will lay off a total of 79 workers later this year. Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, which has a plant in Falconer, will begin laying workers off in September. The reason listed for the layoffs is “economic.” Buffalo Police are investigating six separate shootings that happened in less than 24 hours over the 4th of July holiday. The Niagara Falls Boys and Girls Club will soon be offering additional daycare options for local parents. The nonprofit organization will begin offering programing at 4520 Military Road later this month, pending an inspection from the State Office of Children and Family Services on July 9.
