Law enforcement received a call around 12:57am on July 26th after reports of an assault at Dairy Queen on Niagara Street in Niagara Falls. The 911 caller told police that he was stabbed. The caller said that he was stabbed in the right arm and was bleeding.The ‘Hood Taste of Buffalo’, a grassroots-grown food festival that sprouted up on Buffalo’s eastside, was looking forward to having its 7th annual event this weekend. That is, until organizers posted on their social media channels that they received an unwelcome surprise from officials from the city of Buffalo and the Buffalo Police Department. According to a separate post made by the Buffalo Police Department, the event was shut down as an unsanctioned mass gathering.The Highland Clubhouse opens for the first time this Saturday morning at 1164 North Avenue in Niagara Falls. The community center features a kitchen where people can learn to cook and prep meals. The Clubhouse also includes transitional housing and meeting spaces for community groups, workshops and events. Planning for the space began in 2017 but was delayed by a structure fire and COVID.Law enforcement received a call around 3:20pm on July 25th after reports of an assault on 20th Street in Niagara Falls. The 911 caller told police that each of the neighbors were throwing eggs at one another. It was then reported that one of the neighbors then tried to run over the other with a vehicle. Multiple parties were shouting throughout the incident. Police responded to the scene and encountered chaos. One of the parties was taken into custody.
