A Niagara Falls man is facing several charges after allegedly leading deputies on an overnight chase that ended in the parking lot of the Buffalo VA Medical Center, Officials said a vehicle fled from police after driving away from an attempted traffic stop on Niagara Falls Boulevard around 4 a.m. Thursday. Michael W. Oden, 51, has been charged with third-degree unlawful fleeing an officer in a motor vehicle.The Kenan Center, located in Lockport, NY, is wrapping up construction on its $16.5 million civic arena facility that will encompass a fitness center, turf field, computer lab, art studio, sport courts, concessions, classrooms, and a front desk to the Kenan Center’s campus.The first woman elected as Niagara Falls mayor has passed away. Irene Elia died this week in Hospice care. Elia was elected to office in 2000 after a career in nursing. Elia was 95.The 2026 Olcott Beach Car Show will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Krull Park, located on the shore of Lake Ontario in Olcott.
