Law enforcement received a call around 1:23am on July 5th after reports of a brawl at Gateway Park in North Tonawanda.4-6 drunk adults were fighting.Police responded to the scene. It is unknown if any arrests were made.On July 10th, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility following a report of an assault on a corrections officer.
The incident occurred during a cleaning detail when incarcerated individual, Myquaveon Jones, struck a corrections officer in the face with a closed fist.
The Niagara County District Attorney's Office announced that 53-year-old Thomas H. Summers, Jr. of Newfane pleaded guilty to second-degree vehicular manslaughter after a deadly crash in July 2025.The DA said Summers admitted to driving his truck while impaired by the combined influence of cocaine, methamphetamine, and oxycodone, which caused a crash that killed his passenger, 48-year-old Rodolfo Espinoza
