Officers with the Niagara Falls Police Department responded to reports of a serious crash involving a scooter and a passenger vehicle on Niagara Falls Boulevard near 47th Street late Friday afternoon. Investigators said preliminary findings indicate the crash occurred when a Buick was attempting to turn left from Niagara Falls Boulevard onto 47th Street. Police said the driver of the vehicle had a green left-turn arrow at the time and was legally proceeding through the intersection.Law enforcement received a call around 10:52pm on June 17th after reports of a mental health emergency on Westbrook Drive in North Tonawanda.
The 911 caller told police that her ex-boyfriend threatened to commit suicide after they broke up. The caller further told police that he expressed several suicidal ideations and believed he was suicidal. At the time of the call, the ex-boyfriend had just left the residence a few minutes earlier.
Police responded to the scene. It is unknown if police were able to locate the male for a welfare check.One person is dead following an ATV accident on Ellinwood Road Saturday in Pembroke, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office said.
Officials received a 911 call at 7 p.m. reporting the accident. Investigation revealed that a black Yamaha ATV was traveling northbound on Ellinwood and turned too early at the road’s curve, causing it to drive off the road and hit a tree.
Lifesaving measures were attempted, but the victim, Michael J. Wittmeyer, 23, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead the scene.A man is dead following a search for a missing boater in Java Lake, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office announced Sunday morning.
Authorities said around 6 p.m. Saturday, SONAR technology identified an object under water which ended up being the missing boater. 46-year-old Robert Fuller of Java Lake was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities said they received a 911 call around 7 p.m. Friday reporting a capsized boat in Java Lake. While two occupants were reported to have gone into the water, only one was accounted for.A 19-year-old Buffalo man is facing several felony charges after prosecutors say a gunfire incident inside a city residence left a 6-year-old child injured while sleeping in bed.
The case stems from a June 9th shooting on Hager Street on Buffalo’s East Side. According to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office, police officers were dispatched to a residence at approximately 10:20pm after reports of shots fired.
Investigators say that a bullet first grazed the foot of a 34-year-old man before continuing through the floor of the residence and into a first-floor apartment below. Authorities say the projectile then struck a 6-year-old child who was asleep at the time.
