A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Porter on Monday afternoon, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said. The motorcyclist hit a pickup truck around 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of Youngstown-Wilson Road and Dickersonville Road. A Tonawanda man, Joseph Saraceno, is facing up to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty on Monday to first-degree manslaughter after killing a 59-year-old man in 2024. The black rock canal allows boats to travel between Buffalo and Tonawanda while avoiding the swift moving waters of the Niagara River.
